On April 3rd 2020, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan announced incentives for the construction industry in order to increase employment opportunities in the country in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. These incentives included a major tax exemption for investment in projects under the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, the PTI government’s low-cost housing programme.
